Whitney Houston Dies Aged 48

80s mega star singer Whitney Houston has been found dead, aged 48, in Beverly Hills, California. Whitney was one of the biggest selling artists of the decade, with 7 number 1 hits, and more in the 90s when she also dabbled in acting. Whitney married RnB star Bobby Brown in 1992 and though it seemed at first to be a magical pairing, by the late 90s it became clear that Whitney was using drugs and had a fairly extreme behavior change, turning from the golden girl of American music to an erratic and unreliable star.

In recent years she received criticism for lackluster performances and appeared, tragically, to have lost the amazing voice that made her a legend. The cause of her death is currently unknown.

While the world speculates and mourns her passing, one thing remains certain – she will live on as one of the brightest, most special stars of the 80s.
