The Pop-Up Video Version of a-ha’s Classic 80s Song Take on Me

The video for Take on Me by a-ha was one of the most innovative videos of the 1980s.  The video was filmed using a technology called Rotoscoping and combined live action with pencil sketch animation.  It won 6 awards at the 1986 MTV music awards, including “Viewers Choice”.  The video was also a major impetus in propelling the song to the top of the US Billboard Hot 100.
